The Engineering Manager administrates and supports engineering related projects based on customer requirements and needs. Additionally, the Engineering Manager oversees the design, set up, operation, and maintenance of robotic and other automated systems.
1. Manage engineering projects and ensure the product requirements are being met.
2. Set up and maintain robotic and automated systems
3. Work from rough sketches, verbal instructions, and/or customer provided blueprints to produce
engineering drawings, and work orders
4. Coordinate directly with the department planner to understand project requirements, verify design details,
and recommend modifications as needed according to company and quality standards.
5. Resolve pre-process and in-process design questions and problems directly with the customer and shop
floor personnel
6. Support information technology (IT)
7. Suggest and implement improvements.
Knowledge
• Blueprint/schematic reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Manufacturing operations and procedures
• Safety protocols and practices
Skills
• CAD programs SolidWorks preferred
• Programing PLC and Robotic systems
• Mechanical aptitude
• Manual assembly
Abilities

• Be highly organized
• Operate computers and effectively manage files

Education / Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Engineering project management
• Machining and manual assembly
